It's the cheat device which deactivates the indicators in real world driving.

The indicators work when the car is being tested but not out in the wild, all BMW's have it...

HAHA.. I guess that is the reason my indicator doesn't work in real life :p:p:p

Thanks - seems to be the one.
But interestingly the car doesn't actually have bluetooth built in.. it does however have a phone dock in the arm rest that requires a special adapter to accept any phone.. so could be linked to that then. Wishing it was that cheat device now :p:p

    Thanks !

If it has the module it has Bluetooth, the cradle in the armrest is for charging and using the gsm shark fin aerial on the roof only. If you go into the radio menus you can pair the phone easily

If you have the phon dock in he arm rest then you have Bluetooth.
I have never once used the arm rest dock as the adaptor for iPhones requires them to be taken out of their cases etc. Too much hassle.

You should see the Bluetooth menu in the in idrive or radio function, also the Bluetooth/mulf unit controls music interaction, USB interface etc.

I think I am sure I am missing some module then, as the telephone option in the radio menu is greyed-out.. Even pressing the phone button the steering wheel does nothing..

The module is dead, try a battery reset but it looks like it is just faulty, they would be fairly common to fail

Thanks - Will try a battery reset.. but not going to bother with fixing the module as I already invested in a parrot device, thinking the option wasn't available :o

These modules were a very common fail in the e60. Water ingress in the boot kills them.

I am a bit cold blooded and found that 19.5 is the perfect temperature, not too hot and not too cold = perfect for me :):)
