I have a son, 8 who loves and plays chess. I'm looking to set up a chess club in his school (haven't approached the school yet! )
I'm finding it really difficult to find someone who can teach the game.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    I'm in cork btw

    Great Iniative Now Online,

Alex Lopez is an International Master living in Cork who is currently a full time chess teacher. He is currently ranked no 4 in Ireland.

I would suggest you get in contact with the development officer of the Irish Chess Union and Alex to get the club set up. I believe the Irish Chess Union have boards and sets available for free to help set up brand new clubs.

There is also a well established club in Cork that would be open for all ages.

I set up a club in my kids school last year. It's still going so we must be doing something right!

If you PM me I'd be happy to point you in the right direction
