I just got my first payslip and it says PAYE/USC Basis: Emergency, and below that 32.00 Tax Credits,

Am I being Emergency taxed? and will I receive my tax credits as payments?

I'm new to all this so I hope these weren't stupid questions, bear with me :)

    Thanks for reading.

You are in the first four weeks of the emergency tax basis. It exists to prompt you to sort your tax affairs out. You need to ensure your employment is registered for tax purposes. Is it your first job ever or have you just moved employments.
Tax credits are not money. They are one part of the paye system which is how your tax is worked out.

This is my first job, I have filled out forms and given them to my employer. I also registered on revenue.ie but still haven't received an email from them with my password.

Is there anything else I should do?

Is there any way to know what % the emergency tax is taking?

This is link you followed I'm assuming?

    http://www.revenue.ie/en/online/jobs-pensions.html

If you followed the procedure, you'll have to wait for the next step.

Once you've gotten your pin, log in with it and you'll be prompted to create a new password that you will remember.

From there you can register your current employment for tax purposes. You just need to enter your employers registered number and you should be fine. :)
