Hi guys - argos have a sale on memory cards at the moment (wed 22nd) and I need to get a micro one for my Samsung Neo S5.

I'm bewildered by the choice and can't get a definite answer as to which ones will function in my mobile. I want to go 64gb or 128GB (basically the max) but want perfect speeds for video too.

Can someone techy here please help? I've Googled and there's mixed reports on quality and even function.

Really appreciate any help amd advice / links - thanks a million

The max is 256 Gb for that phone.

Memory cards have speed ratings in terms of how fast data can be written to the card and read from it. Read is usually a lot faster than write, but it's write speed you are after for video. You want a class 10 card for video, preferably.

    This would do you: http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/4131164/Trail/searchtext%3E128+GB+CARD.htm

Just because Argos claims they're having a 'sale' doesn't mean their prices are any good, make sure you compare the prices against your local Vodafone & 3 shops before you buy.

There's usually a 'sweet spot' for memory cards at any given, it's probably currently at 32GB or 64GB for microSD, check the cost per GB and don't buy more than you really need because memory is always getting cheaper and faster.

I was skeptical about Argos pricing also and checked 7-dayshop and mymemory.ie before replying, but to my surprise, Argos were cheaper.
