firewood supply to dublin northside

does anyone have any recommendations on suppliers of good firewood to D9/D11 area? i'd be looking to buy at least one cubic metre bag of seasoned wood. i know of mulch.ie, but that is on the pricey side from what i can see.

I would be interested as well, the only place I have found is https://www.hotlogs.ie/

I am thinking about ordering from them.......need to make up my mind

Any idea what is best wood for stove? I see most of them charge extra for different types so I guess the better stuff is more expensive>

A lot of suppliers use nationwide courier companies so deliver anywhere.

Be careful comparing like with like. i.e. hardwood vs softwood, kiln-dried vs air dried vs fresh wet wood. A cubic metre bag of wood is not nearly as much wood as a cubic metre stacked crate of logs.

I burn kiln dried hardwood and in the past I have used bestlogs.ie countryproducts.ie and ecofuel.ie

I have tried birch, ash and oak. Ash is all I burn now.

Is it a room heater or boiler stove ? Kiln dried hardwood is the best wood. It will have moisture of around 15% and will burn cleanly, but would be quite expensive to run radiators off it.

Beech and ash, Beech is the best
