Gyms in Oranmore

Is there a some type of syndicate in Oranmore as the two gyms with pools there are way out of line in their prices in relation to other gyms around the country or even just Galway i.e. Club Vitae Kilkenny is €35/Month

They are below average, imo, in their state of repair and yet seem to want a premium in membership!

I got quoted €54/month for a single adult (peak hours) - is ti just me or is that excessive?
Ocean fitness in Salthill is around €54/Month and they have two pools with one being a 25 meter (and equipment in great condition!)
The others I've called (NRG, Kingfisher, Raheen Woods) are all around the €35 - €40/month

    *Rant off*

Yeah, I suppose with only each other to compete with, they don't have much incentive to keep their prices down. I was a member of one of them back about a decade ago, and even then, the price was ridiculous.

I guess gyming further afield is something you'll have to weigh up... Raheen Woods in Athenry, or the Kingfisher in Renmore would probably be the two closest with pools.

Or the Connacht accross the road

In regards to Oranmore gyms, the price quoted on their websites are nonsense in my experience. Go in and negotiate a better deal. I paid under 300 last year for Oranmore lodge.
