Heads up for anyone who lives in the area:

    File # 16975 on

    http://webgis.kildarecoco.ie/PlanningEnquiry/

Infrastructure cannot handle what's already there, and now they want to add this to the congestion?

Is that on the Milltown side of the road opposite sarsfields or beside sarsfields (on same side of road) and exiting on station road. Only place to come out there is beside Dept of Defence.

Pretty sure station road runs from town all the way to crossroads with the lights and then it is Milltown road.

Schools in the town are all creaking with applications running years in advance of enrollment. Town needs to do what Rathcoole did and all object until infrastructure and schools added to the town. 400 houses is likely circa 800 kids. Thats a very full extra primary school.

I presume it's the land to the left if you are passing sarsfields on the right heading towards roseberry hill.

Walking out of the entrance to Sarsfields, it starts in the field right across the road, and goes behind phase 1 of Roseberry Hill.

BUT, since I posted the original post, the field to Sarsfield's right ( ie the field directly across from the entrance to Roseberry Hill ( the one with the derelict bungalow in it) has also been sold and accordng to the signage mounted, is also being zoned for houses. No numbers of units so far, but this is only going to add to the mayhem of school places, traffic, and sewage to name but 3 issues.

Edit:All this while already there are houses being constructed in phase 2 in Roseberry Hill.

The Planning permission states exit on station road. So, opposite Sarsfields may be part of Roseberry development and exiting in the estate or another exit on that road maybe opposite Sarsfields. That is not station road.

As for the field beside Sarsfields, then this must be the one in the PP. After the train station, there is the Dept of Defence and then a few bungalows all the way to the cross roads. Unless the soccer pitches are sold and then the exit would be between the train station and the Dept Defence. That would be station road exit.

Are we looking at 2 different developments.

The only grounds for objection is school places. Prefabs are not the answer. Not sure if the sewage issues in Mount Carmel are sorted. (used to be very bad in heavy rain on the green space). They might have a case as the waste passes them.

We are talking about 2 different developments. The field beside Sarsfields has only been sold and is proposed for housing, whereas the field opposite the entrance to Sarsfields already has an application in for this development. There is also a notice mounted on a pillar on the entrance to Roseberry Hill pertaining to this.
