I have a 5 year old Fresian who has mastitis and had blackspot. She has a cell count of 3.8 million and is slow to milk out. I am looking for any last minute ideas of how to improve her as I would like to avoid culling her if at all possible.

    Ah no...
Collect 14cpl for milk she doesn't produce...and help reduce overproduction.

    Win win.

Not a hope of getting her back into production with 4 teats, I'd say.

The best you'll get is her milking on 3 teats.

If you want to avoid culling her you could stick some calves on her. We often buy high cell cows/slow milkers to rear calves. One friend occasionally gives us a good cow that has gone wrong and we breed her to FR. If she has a heifer calf we give it to him - win, win on both sides.

Slow milker, 3.8 million scc and on 3 spins!!! It's this sh1t that annoys the hell outta me. Why do people keep poor performing stock!!! Animals not in calf or late calving kept cos they'd a good calf the yr before. They're not pets and farming is a business!! What good is she!! She's costing u money!

Cull cull cull! Scc is enough to warrant a cull, slow Milker is another reason, she just sounds like a pain in the arse

Ok thanks for the resounding answer! She will be burgers by the end of the week. Buying a heifer to replace her from a neighbour.Hopefully will have more luck with her!!
