Any hope of finding an aircraft from 2004?

Flew on BA0049 to Seattle ex LHR in Sept 2004, it was a 747, just wondering if there is a way to find the actual plane I was on? Googled but no hope

There is also a high risk the aircraft has been scrapped.

You could try this site and ask if they have archived data for the particular date.

What date, Vic, and I can have a look. No guarantees it'll be stored where I'm looking though.

BA have 37 B747-400's currently in service
G-BNLJ and G-BNLV are planned for retirement on October 1, 2016
If all goes to plan the last two to retire will be G-BYGF and G-BYGG and the current date is April 1, 2023.

G-BNLK is down for retirement on October 1, 2018

BA are spending a bit of cash on refitting the remaining 747 cabins... Will be nice to see a refresh as they are a bit worse for wear at the moment...

Just 18 of the B747-400's have had the upholstery changed, lighting changed to LED and a Panasonic eXlite V3 IFE system installed. The remaining 19 will remain in the old config until retirement.

For anybody that is interested the refit registrations are:
    G-CIVF, G-CIVG, G-CIVH, G-CIVI, G-CIVR, G-CIVS, G-CIVV, G-CIVW, G-CIVX,
    G-CIVY, G-CIVZ.
    G-BYGA, G-BYGB, G-BYGC, G-BYGD, G-BYGE, G-BYGF, G-BYGG.

They will operate on selected flights to New York JFK, Chicago, Johannesburg, Dubai, Boston, Riyadh, Kuwait, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Washington DC.

Good info thanks! Good to know the SFO will have the updated cabin. At the moment SFO has 2 BA flights on 777 and A380.

I've always enjoyed flying into Seattle in a Boeing aircraft. It just feels right.

I got up graded going to Beijing once , P/E to business. Spoilt rotten we were with all the room. The rest of the service was average enough, they even forgot my fry-up in the morning, hanging offence IMO:mad:.
I think the fact that we were upgraded may have had something to do with it, no excuse though. Bad service is bad service in any language.
