Changing clubs

    Hi guys,

I'm thinking about moving clubs, and was wondering what's involved. Do i get to keep my GUI number and handicap? Who do i need to speak to at my current club to tell them i'm moving and the reasons behind my decision? I hope that my feedback would help them address those problems in the future, rather than be seen as derisive.

    Thanks for any help

I moved clubs at the start of this year and I had contacted the club secretary in advance of leaving to inform the club of my decision and why I was moving (moved house so was not practical to keep up my membership where I was).
My handicap transferred to my new club but I got a new GUI number and card from my new club, I assume this is the norm.

You keep your handicap but get a new card and GUI number.

Did it last year myself. Write to old club to let them you are leaving and reasons behind decision if you wish.

New GUI number gets issued at your new club. Need handicap cert to transfer the handicap. I got this from the Golfnet site
