Moto G 2nd gen, user account gone , apps greyed out

    Just as I thought my phone started showing good behavior again after threatening it to be replaced, I had this issue this morning

    After a reboot the "other user" account that I use from time to time had disappeared. The owner account that I had renamed in the past, was back to "Owner".

    The only thing I could think off was to clear cache partition, which I did.

    Then I went back to the user account settigs, clicked on New user , which was back and could log in with same PIN code from before..

    Cool I thought, but when logged in, my custom app drawer is gone and all installed apps, bar Ryanair, are now on my home screen and greyed out.
    Clicking on them gives message that the app is not installed.

    So Ryanair is still there , which is weird. Everything else is gone, data included, it is as if it is a new account, remembering what I had, but simply not willing to give it back to me.

    Clearly I am well and truly p'd off, can't find this issue anywhere on google (mind you greyed out apps seems to be a well know Iphone issue)

    Has anybody come across this ? Or have an idea how to restore the data and the apps ?
