Home lighting - Cool or Warm...?

Just nearing the end of a torturous build, seeing the 'light' at the end of the tunnel!

I had always planned to have a clean modern interior and had decided early on to have 'cool white' spotlights (4000K) throughout (open plan kitchen dining living) possibly with warm white reading lights and feature pendants. Mainly because we had a particular concrete grey tile in mind and in anything less than cool white light, brown hews started to appear which we didn't like...

The supplier (wholesaler), electrician and some friends think im mad in the head and I will get sick of it after a while...these are dedicated led lamps (orbio 360 by Ansell - http://www.anselluk.com/products/AORBLEDCW/p683) so cant change bulb after! They come in 3000K version too but ive seen this in and they are quite yellow/warm in colour

Just wondering has anyone experience of living with cool white light throughout and any regrets? Does colour/texture in the rooms soften it a bit?

Seen some rooms lit with the LED White look,
On a personal level its not as nice to come into as a cozy old fashioned yellow look.

But if your going for the industrial look with polished concrete then the White is a great way to go,
It all depends on your interior design I suppose.

I also think its a current style that will fade in 5 years so make sure you can change bulbs if needed.

most of my house has warm lights but I got a set of cool lights for the kitchen counter lighting - they are very stark. wouldn't get more or have them anywhere else.

Love 6000-6700K myself but I'd be in the minority.
