I've been living in Canada for the last 2 years and while I was away a Gard called to my house to issue me a summons for possesion of weed. My sister answered and tried to refuse accepting the summons on the grounds I wasn't there. The Gard proceeded to open my summons and read it to my sister. As a result, I missed the court date. Since then 2 detectives have called to my house looking for me and sat outside my house waiting to see if I would return. I now think that there is a bench warrant out for me, although I'm not 100% certain as the detective said he would email my brother with details and never did. Can anyone tell me the best course of action to take to clear up this mess? I'm afraid of going to the garda station as I don't want to be arrested and hurt my chances of leaving the country again in a few weeks! Any help would be hugely appreciated! Not looking for legal advice, just looking for the best course of action to take! Thanks in advance!

The only course of action available to you is to go to a solicitor.

Repeatedly starting threads here certainly isn't going to help.
