    Hi,

Just wondering has anyone here got a recipe for a dessert (cake, cookies, buns, bars etc) using chocolate protein powder and other ingredients!

I always recommend these. With chocolate orange whey they are so good!

    protien pancakes: Ingredients
    1 large banana
    2 eggs
1/8 teaspoon baking powder (optional but recommended)
    2 tablespoons protein powder
    Instructions
Place a medium pan over medium heat on the stove. Let it heat up while you prepare the pancakes. It's ready when water dropped into the pan sizzles.
To prepare the pancakes, mash the banana well with a couple of forks. Add the eggs, baking powder, and protein powder (if using) and whisk until well combined. Spray the pan with nonstick cooking spray before adding in 2-3 tablespoons of the pancake mixture (I used a sprayed metal ring to make mine so round -- if you don't want to bother, they'll just be a little wonky shaped.)
Let the pancakes cook for 25-30 seconds before flipping and letting the other side cook for the same amount of time. EAT

    peanut butter cookies
    Ingredients

2 scoops (or a half-cup) protein in vanilla/or chocolate who cares!
    1 large egg
1/2 cup organic cane sugar and 1 tablespoon for sprinkling on top (or coconut palm sugar)
    1 cup peanut butter, smooth
    Pinch of salt
1/4 cup mini dark chocolate chips

    Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Place all ingredients in a medium size bowl and mix together using a wooden spoon. The consistency should be like typical cookie dough.
Using a tablespoon cookie scooper, scoop 3 tablespoons of dough and roll into a ball. Then, flatten in your palm into a cookie shape. Place on cookie sheet and repeat.
Use a fork to create the classic peanut butter criss-cross shape by lightly pressing onto cookie dough. Then, sprinkle with organic cane sugar and a pinch of salt.
Bake at 350ºF for 12-15 minutes or until the cookies begin to turn golden brown.
Let cool for at least 10 minutes to let the cookies harden.
Storage: store in a tight ziplock bag or container in a cool/dark place OR for the longest storage, place in freezer.

Gradually getting over my aversion to the taste of peanuts, so ready to try these... Anyone swap out to flaxseed for chia seed? No reason, except for convenience in that I know I have chia seed!

I regularly make the following banana bread...
    http://www.goldfenger.com/strawberry-banana-protein-bread
I nutrininja porridge oats for the oat flour (assume it's the same thing), and I use frozen fruits in it most times as I don't always have fresh strawberries. Keeps in the fridge in clingfilm for a week or so. Perfect with the afternoon brew.

The banana bread is my staple protein boost (between that, and a scoop in my overnight oats, I normally don't need another supplement on top of "real" food). I would like to work out a decent, but not too calorific cookie recipe, so will have a look at the protein chef. Or a cookie dough recipe (local shop has the quest cookie dough bars on offer at the moment - think I could eat them all day! :D )

Made the cookies from the protein chef (the best protein cookies one). Whilst they're lovely and they'll definitely give you a sweet hit, still the same issue to get a decent amount of protein you'd need to make them quite calorific. Probably not an issue if you were on a bulk, but nearly as well just having a shake and a normal homemade cookie tbh!

I can't get that site to load in Chrome - anyone else having problems? :(

Also, for cookies, I find Vitafiber cookies are great - and excellent macros

    I make mine with
    20g vitafiber powder
    20 mls water
15g whey and 15g myrpotein/bulkpowders pancake mix (can use all whey but they don't come out as crispy/biscuity)

Works out at approx 160 calories for the batch with 25g protein

I've been making a batch of those protein bars consistently every 10 days or so for the last three and a half years I think. Jaysus! :O

See the vitafiber isn't that expensive, so might add it to my next order.

What's pancake mix like as pancakes? Any recommendations as to go unflavoured/ flavoured (for pancakes, cookies will be flavoured whey so probably thinking unflavoured and going normal toppings!)
