    Hi Guys,

Just wondering do Kia dealers provide free software updates and do I have a way of checking if there is any recalls for it online. It is a 2010 model.

    Thanks

It should be still under warranty unless it's over mileage. The only recall I heard of on those was for the master cylinder.

It might seem obvious but call a Kia Dealer and ask them ????

Only got the idea in my head this evening. Has 327000km on it so its well over :pac:

Recalls should be covered , mileage is irrelevant , updates should be done for a small charge (half hour labour) or even free depending on the Kia Dealer.

It just seems down in power. Rarely it preforms correctly and its a rocket then. 9/10 is slow as christmas.

Fuel filter and Air filter recently changed.

    Diesel is not an issue.

    Any ideas?

    Unlikely to be software tbh.

Leave it into a Kia Dealer for the Recalls etc and ask them to do a diagnostic test while its there ?

Very unlikely to be solved by a recall TBH! Have you had a mechanic take a look at it?

Yeah it was looked over by a mechanic before and he couldn't fix it.

Done a diagnostic myself and all clear.

If I start it, drive 50metres and turn it off, start it again it has decent power.

If I just start it normally its rubbish. Can get to top speed but acceleration is poor.

Not interested in spending money on it as its a company van.

Just looking for an easy fix that I may be able to do myself in my spare time

Update on this. Tried two seperate runs, one without map sensor and the other without the map sensor.
Both put the car into limp mode but no check engine light. (The light does work)

Once connected the car ran better than before I started but wondering how long this will last.

Is there anything else handy I can check.

Air filter is clean, doesn't seem to be any leaks either.

    Thanks
