Block text with no number

I'm using the default Messages app on a S7 and I'm getting texts from an insurance company that I want to block. I should be able to go into the settings of the Messages app, select block messages and add the number to the block list but the text is sent without a number, it just appears with the company name instead of a number. I don't have the company in my contacts list so I can't block them that way. I cannot reply to the text either, when I go to view the text "conversation", there isn't the usual "enter message" box at the bottom of the screen. The text says to email them to opt out but then they will have my email address too, if I do that. Now, granted that it is easier to block an email than a text, so if I have to do that, I will but I'm interested to know if anyone can tell me how they are sending a message without a number and how I can block them, preferably without installing another app or switching to a different texting app.

You can get software to send SMS from an email client, presume that's what they're doing.

In Textra app I have option to blacklist Meteor even though they have no number. So try that if you can't find anything in your own app. It's free.
