    HI all,
now that the summers over Im hoping for sugestions on where to get a pair of wayfarers for a decent price. we are going to Oz in a few weeks and im in the market for finally avoiding the cheap as chip fake brands to get an authentic pair that I can keep for a few years.
Ive a friend in NY if you reckon they'd be more affordable there...
    Thanks in advance

They're generally much cheaper in the US. If you can get to a store like Century 21, you can often pick them up for about $80-100. However, you will be dependent on whatever stock they have.

I've bought a couple of pairs from secretsales.com in the past. They are totally legit and roll out extra percentages off every so often as well and if you get them posted to Parcel Motel, it cuts the cost of delivery too.

To be honest Ray Bans aren't really expensive enough to warrant the hassle of getting a friend to buy and ship from NY.

If you're flying out of Dublin airport I've found that the airside Sunglass Hut is decent for selection and price. I bought my most recent Persols there.

Groupon and pigsback both have deals on right now for ray bans at €85 a pop..

I think you'd be lucky to find a better price then that for brand new genuine ray bans.

The sunglass hut in the airport charges full whack although I'm sure they do sales from time to time.

Other option is, if like me, you're always losing them, you can get a decent pair down the back of Boots in Dundrum at about 50% off. They won't have Ray bans though...

Surely with Groupon etc, thats only for certain styles though? If you want to be able to shop the full range and try things on, I think you could do worse than the airport. I bought a pair there recently for about €120 which I thought was good enough.

The op asked where they could wayfarers at a decent price..

Groupon are selling wayfarers for €85 which is about €50 less then the shops..

You are of course free to go to the airport and pay the extra €50 for the same product..

I was just responding to the OP's question..that was all..

Theres not just one style of wayfarers though?! There are many variations of that style. If any old wayfarers will do, then fine, but I'd rather pay for something I can try on and suit me, than some random pair of some style they've been struggling to shift.

Yes and they have multiple styles of wayfarers on groupon.

(with pictures ;)) to help you choose...

A lot of people already know the style they want and can just order..

If not, they can always head to the shops and either pay full price or get them elsewhere...

Whatever works for OP, I have no preference, I was just responding to a post...
