The indo have the most comprehensive coverage imo :http://www.independent.ie/irish-news/coast-guard-member-dies-and-colleague-remains-trapped-in-cave-after-boat-capsizes-35042201.html
The woman was removed from the water by a rescue team after the boat she was in capsized.
She was taken to hospital, but pronounced dead this afternoon.

“This is a black day for us. These are volunteers who risk their lives everyday to save others. This woman was a hero,” one lifeguard member said.
Two other members of the coast guard were also dislodged from the boat which was taking part in a search off the Clare coast for a missing local man.

Another woman was rescued from the water and brought to University Hospital Limerick where she is in a stable condition, while a male colleague is trapped in a cave area. The rescue teams are currently unable to reach him, but he has responded.

The full extent of his injuries are not yet know.

A cliff and cave rescue has been launched, but rough seas are hampering the rescue effort.
Manuel Dilucia, founder of the Kilkee Marine Rescue, told independent.ie: "He is in there, been there for approximately four hours.

"He is sitting on a ledge waiting to be saved. But the coast guard boat was overturned by a wave and has lodged there blocking him in.
"It has to be towed away before he is saved. At this stage, he would be bordering on hypothermia and may be injured. Sea conditions have now calmed down, so hopefully this will assist the rescue."

The incident happened off the coast of Kilkee in Co. Clare. The crew from Kilkee Marine Rescue were taking part in a search-and-rescue for a man missing from the local area for a number of deays.
Their rigid inflatable boat (RIB) overturned shortly after 1pm when it hit a heavy swell near the cliffs at Kilkee.

From what I've unofficially heard, its a Doolin based RIB and crew involved.

The man missing is a primary school teacher from Lisseycasey (not exactly local, but that's irrelevant).

Very sad, many around the area are quite shocked at what's turned out to be a double tragedy in the past few days. Helicopter and emergency vehicles flying around all day.

I especially feel for the poor family of the missing man, they now feel the weight of two horrors on their shoulders. Just shows how one death can lead to another, hopefully people may keep this in mind.
