b12 deficiency help

I'm looking for help with finding a dr who understands b12 and would agree to see my mother in law. Her current dr decided a number of years ago that there was nothing he could do for her and over the last 7 years she has gone from an active woman who was working full time to being in a wheelchair and cant even hold a cup of tea herself.
Her initial symptoms were loss of control of her hands and feet. Trips and fall and not able to hold a pencil. Her dr decided it was anxiety and put her on medication. since then she has gotten worse and all of her symptoms match a cronic b12 deficiency. Her dr has done standard blood test but these don't show it as low - the research I've come across says this is common. Her dr wont (or cant) order the tests we have been told she should get and he wont start her on a trial of injections. He is referring her to a neurologist but she's already seen the one he is referring her to and they decided they couldn't do anything for her a few years ago - they never checked her b12 though.
I think she needs to start again with a new dr who is willing to at least read the up to date research and listen to her and her problems.
I am not looking for advice on this I know boards have rules. I'm trying to get a dr who will see her and treat her like a human being and not just brush her off as depressed - which she wasn't at the time but clearly now is.
Does anyone know if the following tests can be done privately and if so where:
    Methylmalonic Acid (MMA)
    Homocysteine
    MTHFR
    Unsaturated B12 Binding Capacity
    Holotranscobalamine (Active B12 test)

I don't think we can reverse all the damage that has been done by getting b12 injections but I hope we could stop her from getting any worse.
I really need some help here so if anyone with a b12 deficiency has any ideas or a sympathetic dr could you please PM me the details.

    Thanks
