Its been years since I've played sports. I'm joining gaelic footba this week and I'm actually nervous. Its been so long that I've played.

Anyone else recently joined back playing a sport they love?

I need to get myself back playing sports!

I started back this year at 26 and I hadn't really played since minors. Playing junior A and have started every game this year. Don't be nervous, most clubs would be delighted to see new people joining.

Even to train, I'd be delighted with that. As for games, I'd probably beg to keep me off until in half decent haha

We had a lad appear this year who hadn't played hurling since he was 14, in another country.
He's 40 something and has two girls playing camogie in the club.

Since starting with us he said he's lost a load of weight, feels much better and has gotten to know so many lads from around the area.

We have a lad who joined in his 50s, don't think he'd ever played hurling before. Loves every minute of it.

I love seeing this! I've my first training session tonight. I used to play camogie, never Gaelic so I'm intriqued to know how I get on. I just want to get fit, play a sport I love and meet new people
