Passat 07 NCT Lamdba fail

My petrol 07 Passat failed the NCT on Friday with a Lambda of 1.12 ( pass range is 0.97 - 1.03 ). The other emissions tests passed. I'll take this up with my mechanic during the week but I'm concerned as I've had older cars with more mileage pass this and it's the first time I've come across this fail at NCT. Anyone been…
