    Hi GUys

I usually just get the standard travel insurance for me and the wife but we have an 8 month old toddler now

We are planning to go to spain next summer and were looking at booking the hotel now and paying up front as its much cheaper.

If anything happened then and we just couldnt go (child was sick or something like that) - would some insurance cover this ?

It would come down to the fine print of your Policy. For example if your child suffers from Asthma before you buy the policy and it is because of their asthma that you cancel your holiday then depending on the terms and conditions you may or not be covered.

I strongly suggest that you read the terms and conditions in full before you purchase any policy) Boring as it may be)

None as far as I know but you can book flexible fares with Aer Lingus and Ryanair which allow free changes, they are however twice or more expensive as the same standard flight.

Absolutely not, anyone offering that cover would have a >90% claim rate if they did because their policyholders would have an incentive to continuously scan the web for a cheaper holiday and as soon as they found one, they would be able to cancel the original holiday and claim the money back because of a 'change of mind'.
