I hope this is in the right section, so if not Mods could you move it? :)

So hello everyone, my first post in many years :)

Basically, we had a new boiler installed in April, a lovely new Bosch.
The original was an old back boiler behind the fireplace (vokera I think) that came with the house and was causing lots of issues, so we decided to bite the bullet and replace it with a new boiler.
A Bosch one with zoning for hot water and radiators and had the boiler moved to outside (garage area) for safety.

The first issue we noticed was that radiators were coming on absolutely scalding and making a lot of noise when the 'water only' option was selected on timer. After a bit of wrangling we managed to get a gas company who installed the boiler back to fix the problem only to realise that it hadn't been fixed, but instead only the radiators upstairs came on full blast for around 30 minutes when the 'water only' is selected on timer.

A gas company have been really slow to acknowledge this and one of their engineers failed to show after giving him the option of showing up on any day of his choosing in one particular week.

This has been going in for nearly 2 months now with the two guys from company ignoring my texts and calls.

So basically my questions are; does anyone have an idea what is actually going wrong with the new boiler? And if so, is it damaging to be using it in any way? I have been using the heating and water really sparingly as I'm afraid of causing unknown damage to the boiler or pipes and now that the winter is around the corner I know I'll have to use it more often.

Secondly, what do you think i should do about a gas company who installed the boiler? Am I being unreasonable? Is it a minor issue and do you think I'm just being a pain in the backside to them at this stage? Or should I be making a complaint? And if so, to whom? I haven't a clue when it comes to these things as this is the first time in my life I've ever had to replace a boiler (first house etc)

Thanks a million in advance and all advice welcome! :)

To me your boiler seems fine but the way its plumbed into the heating system is the problem.
Your not being unreasonable to the gas company, actually your being very patient.
The problem is with the pipe work so either they fix it or refund you your money for the job that wasn't done.
It won't do any harm to the boiler but its not the system you paid for.
    Ring them again

Thanks for your speedy reply! :)
Yes I remember they mentioned something about pipe work! Surely they know what they're at with the pipe work though no? Or is it more complicated than it sounds?

I was informed by the other half today (I totally forgot) that after the first incident with scalding rads they came out to fix it only for it to not work at all, and then came back for it to act like it is now with hot rads upstairs, so this is the 3rd "fix"

I've sent off another text message today and I'm officially giving them until Tuesday to get back until i start calling every half hour haha!

Thanks for alleviating my fear of being a "moaner"
I wasn't sure if it was just something that can happen and should be put up with, as it's an old house. But as you said, it isn't the system we paid for and if I'm to nitpick, its a bit annoying having to turn on and off the rads upstairs when it's warm and we want hot water!

I'll keep you updated and I'm delighted to hear that me using the heating in current state is not damaging the system, that is a load off my mind :) Thanks again!

Ooh thanks for that :) I've looked it up and I get the gist of what it's saying, so does this mean they'll need to alter the existing pipework in order to fix the problem?

Each time somebody came out to do a fix, the guy was literally upstairs for less than 10 minutes tinkering where the hot-press is, so not sure what he "should" be doing, if you catch my drift?

Thanks for your reply, much appreciate getting help/advice :)
