Connect to eir network

Tried to connect to Sky broadband and they said while I had a eir plug in my hallway I was disconnected from the eir network. How do I rejoin the eir network. It is well over 5 years since we had eircom or the plug was used. We are in Dublin city centre.

Any advice? Does it cost to rejoin?

Sky: they'll do it if you order their TV too
Vodafone/Eir: Just order it and wait for an install date. Your contract pays for setup costs.

Ok, strange, because Sky told me I couldn't get their package without this connection. Tried to get me to sign up to TV only. I rang up looking for their €55p/m offer for Sky Fibre and Sky TV.

Ask on their Talk2 forum here on boards and the reps will probably get you a callback.
