    http://www.irishexaminer.com/ireland/adverts-for-e-cigs-may-act-as-lure-for-children-419687.html

You have to wonder why they are asking unrelated questions on this. What has tobacco smoking got to do with E-Cigs ? Did they ask them unrelated questions like do the children prefer spongebob or the A-Team ?
Children shown the adverts were no more or less likely than the control group to perceive tobacco smoking as appealing, and all three groups understood that smoking more than 10 cigarettes a day was harmful.

However, both groups exposed to the e-cigarette adverts were less likely to believe that smoking one or two tobacco cigarettes occasionally was harmful. There is concern that the increasing exposure of children to e-cigarette adverts could be contributing to high rates of experimentation.

Doesn't everyone know that e-cigs are a gateway cigarette? They'll be on Rothmans within weeks and smoking the reefer soon after.

They want to regulate, sorry tax e cigs and the tobacco companies are right behind governments pushing for this.

    Tobacco companies or pharmaceutical companies?

Who is it that really makes the big bucks from smoking?

The regulations have already been done, they're going to be in effect by May 17.

This isn't about health. This is about the millions the government is losing in cigarette taxes.

All of the above to some degree. The tobacco companies obviously(and they've extended into the food industry as ciggies contract in the west), but the pharmaceutical companies stand to lose their share of the give up the evil weed products that cost just below what ciggies cost. Nicotine is apparently evil and vaping is the work of satan, unless pfizer sell it to us in a puritanical, non enjoyable way that makes the anti smoking harpies happy. Governments make bazillions from tobacco and would even make more from pharmaceutical nicotine systems just on the basis of they cost more so gather more tax.

Not forgetting the tens of billions the pharma companies make from thevdrugd that treat the effects of smoking.
