Hey guys. I need your help. I'm in a living situation where I moved into a house 3 months ago. Living with 3 women who had been living together in the house for over a year.

If it sounds like heaven for some guys, It's far from that. The 3 of them approached me recent and collectively decided they want me out. I'm quite happy in the house, I largely keep to myself, do my own thing, The house is great, the location is ideal and the rent is reasonable. I have no intention of leaving

The way I see it is I always pay my rent on time, always pay my bills, I keep my room tidy and do my share of the cleaning

My question is where do I stand legally on this. I signed a rental agreement with the landlord when I moved in. Do the other tennents have any right to force me out, can the landlord tell me to go if i'm abiding by the rental agreement?

I'm guessing there isn't a looker amongst them if you're keeping to yourself in your room so?

They can't legally toss you out, legally all they can do is toss you of, maybe suggest that as an alternative?

If that fails pour fish sauce into all their shoes before you leave....available in all good Asian food stores!

If you're satisfying the terms of your rental agreement they have not get a leg to stand on.

Why do they want you out?

Personally I wouldn't want to stay anywhere where co-tenants explicitly told me that they wanted me out. Even if I was previously happy with the place. Never happened to me of course because I'm amazing.

    I've a simple solution OP.
    Divide and conquer.
Befriend one of the group, begin by simple little things like compliment here and there, make a small bit extra dinner and offer it to her, slowly slowly simply simply approach.
Once you're "in", you begin dropping the odd bombshell. Hide some of her food in another housemates cupboard. Tell her you've heard the other two talking about her. Cause a stir.
Repeat as necessary on the other two.

Soon you'll be the king and they'll bow before you.

Three women, eh? Are they Charlie's Angels? Are you Bosley?

Are you always getting 'phone calls' and sending them off on 'missions'? Do these 'missions' involve going to the Off License and getting you beer? Or nakedness?

I'd be making you move out too, OP. There's only so many times you can be asked to strike the finger-gun pose before you get sick of it.

Why do they want you out?

They say 'We don't gel' that 'we're not getting on well together'. But as far as i'm concerned, I rented a room in a house, It would be nice if we could get on well but I don't have to be best buddies with them or play happy families. I'm quite entitled to keep to myself, do my own thing.

One of them is making up some BS excuse that I spray too much Lynx and it gives her a headache. They can't actually point out one thing that i'm doing wrong. They are probably having regrets selecting a man to live with them, I think they have a friend in mind they would rather have but that's no reason for me to go just because i'n not in their little clique.

Lynx is for teenagers. You need to knock that off.

Even worse if it's a replacement for showering.

Besides that... Fup them. Not your problem that you're not their soul mate.

Ah right, **** them so. Tell them if they find you a new place at your budget in your desired location, you'll leave. The danger is that if they go to the landlord and say you've been sniffing their dirty pants out of the laundry basket and rubbing the devil's trombone in the Kerrygold, it'll be three innocent girls against one pervert and you'll be out on your ass.

If I was in your shoes I would just move out.
I know, I know, why give in... why let them win. But since the others say move out then there is no more being friendly or civil with them. So you'd be coming home to a big atmosphere and people you now do not like. You also can't put it past anyone of them (heck, even all 3) to say sh*t to the landlord to try and get you out. You're noisy, wrecking the place, etc.

I'd get them back in my own little way if I could. Skip out of paying the last months bills or something.

If you rented from a non resident landlord, stay put.

If you sublet from the lassie(s) named in the lease, you might as well pack now.

You know want. I would move out (for myself) If i thought I could get a suitable replacement room. But the current rental market is crazy right now. We are in a housing crisis and rents so high. made even worse by the influx of students into the city in September.

I'll keep an eye out but for now i'm happy to stay where I am. I don't see why I should leave.

Is your name on the lease? If not, you may not have a choice. As a licensee, if that is the case, they could legally (not morally!) change the locks and leave your stuff out on the street in the morning.
