We are looking at getting a new used car, we run our own small business, and the car will be used predominantly for business. Is there any advantage in registering it in the company name. Maybe for tax?

Yeah, as above, you need to be aware of BIK
A van where you could claim the vat back would probably make more business sense

I'm not sure if it has to be registered to a business, but if a passenger vehicle is used at least 60% of the time for business usage and has Co2 emissions of 156g or less, then 20% of the VAT can reclaimed.
