I recently had to get a new radiator for my Nissan Serena. Having supplied the part, how much should I be paying to have it fitted?

If you've has the job done, your obviously not happy with the price. Was it agreed before hand?? Did you supply coolant also?
I'd reckon 50-70, a bit more if you didn't supply coolant. How much did you pay?

Ring 3 local mechanics and get quotes.

200 Euro - 2.5 hrs labour, coolant and VAT

Ask Porche boy to do it then :D

Did you get 3 quotes from actual mechanics that are willing and able to do the job?

Are these yokes not mid-engined ?

Not sure where the rad would be if it is, but might be in a hoor of a spot for access

I don't think pricing is outrageous if my above assumption is correct & they used good quality coolant & shaved most of their knuckles off in the process....

It would have helped if you had been forthcoming with this from the start.

200 sounds like a bit much but you still haven't told us if it was a dealer or a backstreet indy.

For what its worth, the rad is at the front.

Top tip for future post, don't drip feed information.

Put all relevant information in original post and you'll get more relevant answers

That seems excessive, or main dealer prices. The rad in a Serena isn't hard to access or remove by any means. You most likely didn't have air con rad to contend with either unless it's an import so 2.5 hrs is a lot. If they supplied the coolant then €100 for labour & coolant would be a fair price IMO form a independent. Lesson here is to always agree prices before hand, and find a new mechanic.
