Hey guys, was just looking to get a dashcam tapped in to the fuse board..

Any ideas what's going on here ? Its fuse location '23'. I Can't trace the wiring without pulling the dash apart.
Having gone through the user manual, I'm none the wiser :-?
    Passat B6.

    TIA.

Looks like someone did a cowboy effort at adding some extra equipment.
Is there anything on the car that is not standard from factory.
Could also be a workaround to run a new supply to some item that had failed and the proper fix couldn't be achieved.

Yeah its a strange one.. Nothing added & totally standard from what I can see. Ran a diagnostic no errors showing. Might do the same with it unplugged.

Is there a non stock radio installed? there is no ignition 12v behind the radio (as the factory radio uses can bus data) so additional wiring has to be run from the fuse box to the radio

And that is not a nice way to do it.

OK, from what I can see (online) it seems fuse location '23' is for 'continuous positive - towed vehicle'

It has a non OEM towbar (THULE)) installed...
]I'm OK with a non OEM towbar in my life
    :D

    Thanks for the replies.

No, totally standard. Apart from above. Seem logical to me.
