A friend of mine is about to get a brand new A4 S-Line Avant on a 2 yr lease for £223 per month with only £2,400 down. That's roughly €265 per month. Its outrageous value.

Does anyone know of any insurance companies that will insure a car over here on UK plates for longer than 30 days? I have traders insurance and even they won't do it for longer.

Here's a link to the site if anyone is interested...(no ties to this crowd at all)

Get a customs clearance letter confirming that they are happy to allow same, as revenue not being lost, and nearly all companies will assist...

Am pondering a lease arrangement myself
Does one (or a business) not need to be resident in the UK for such a lease agreement?

Yes, you do have to be a UK resident.

I work for an Irish company, with a UK rep, and even we can't lease a car in the UK as a company, as we're registered here.

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Most places will ask for a UK drivers licence too.

You also need to ask for a V62 allowing you to take the car out of the UK.

No way a company will allow you TBH. I had to jump through quite a few hoops to get mine and I've lived in the UK for 6 years.

Without fraud on your part, no leasing company is going to give you a car that will be seized by the Revenue in Ireland!
