1 year life assurance for people under the age of 55 with a child under 13. So realistically parent will most likely be under 48.
As long as you agree to let us spam you for the rest of your life?
    Or am I being cynical?

I sign up for something similar couple of years ago, not sure the company at the time, but never got a call or email at the end of the free insurance to try to get me to extend.

I contacted JLT before for a quote for insurance via groupscheme, I never received any spam emails or calls.

With the amount of spam i get for nothing in return this will make a welcome change.
    Thanks OP

Is this not considered 'Advertising' which I thought is not allowed on boards.ie ???.

Bargain Alerts would be a very frustrating forum if people couldn't "Advertise"/name the business.:)

I spotted that too...but consent can always be revoked!

I signed up for me & the other half today...have gotten 6 texts so far as part of the set up (3 each).

Lots of texts on setup alright, but just typical set up texts - log in details, welcome pack etc. Could probably be handled better with one email. That said, we I signed it up this very same thing separately, I never once received any follow up from the company.

I sign up to this everytime it's released.
Usually it's Irish Life that offer it and you can control it on the phone app.

Of course they will write to you next year and offer to let you keep it for a fee but fair is fair I suppose.
