I have a feeling I will need to get the injectors reconditioned in my MF 390t. it has 8700 hrs. Blowing out constant clear smoke. This time last year, you wouldn't see any smoke at all even under load. Mechanic did a compression test over the summer and said compression was perfect and head gasket was perfect and mentioned probably injectors. I use it over the summer so didn't do anything about it but will try and get it sorted out over the winter.

Do people normally buy a new set of injectors or recondition the injectors they have. Any idea of what I should expect to pay for this job?

Recondition. 40 to 60 if i recall. Bosch "pencil" type are a replacment job, but that dosent affect you with a Massey.

Normaly between 40 - 60 per injector depending on how bad they are. But if your doing the injectors you should be doing the pump as well. With them hours there will be wear in the pump .

I presume you made sure air filter is clean?

it's usual practise to do the injectors and pump at the same time

hours are smallish enough ! any whine from the turbo?
