We will be visiting next week for a couple of days, can anyone recommend a nice pub in the town that does good bar food at a reasonable price?

Sadly good pub food is hard to come by in Wexford Town. Huge gap in the market if anyone is looking for inspiration!
Simon's is The only place comes to mind. Though I think the Crown Bar are offering a food menu now, not heard what it's like though.
Otherwise you're looking at bar menus in hotels like the Talbot (OK) and the Riverbank (quite good).

Will do, we are looking at both places with a view to moving there to live.

We may not have a huge selection of pub food, but there are great restaurants
    :)

Thanks, its just we are looking for something reasonably priced and thought pub grub would be a cheaper alternative to a restaurant.

Tom Moore Tavern, but maybe a bit more expensive than what you had in mind?

The bar at the Riverbank House Hotel does a good lunch.

Simons stop food at 4pm. Thomas Moore is very nice, but a little pricey. Crown is supposed to be good but my favourite is the Riverbank

Greenacres, while not cheap, is very good value for money. The food is exceptional.

Another vote for either Simon's or the Riverbank here. Simon's does a great breakfast from 9.30 as well!

I see Greenacres mentioned. Its a restaurant, not a pub.

There are many pubs in the town but not many do food. The only one that does is The Crown which does food until 8ish.

Then there is the Riverbank which is a large Hotel bar across the bridge.

Yes Greenacres is in the town but it's a restaurant and pricey at that, so definitely not in the pub food category you're looking for.

Cistín Eile does unbelievable food at very good value. Good for lunch but tricky to get a table in the evening without a booking. Bacco Trattoria is lovely for Italian food. Both located near most of the pubs in town.

Not really a lot of pub grub options in the evenings. The chippers make a killing
