Ceiling hole cover for cable

I'm bringing a long HDMI cable from one room to another through the attic by drilling a hole in each room's ceiling.

I'd like to cover the hole with something that will allow me to thread the HDMI cable through and then it will tighten up after.

    Something like:

but more secure so as not to let insects through.

I'd prefer not to caulk up the hole in case I want to change the wire or remove it later. Any suggestions on what I need here?

I see my satellite dish co-ax cable has something similar installed in the wall leading outside.

Can't see the issue with just using filler. If you use something like above you will still need to fill the hole if you get rid of the cable. Can't see us moving away from HDMI anytime soon.

I guess I don't want it since I may want to pass another cable through later or upgrade it for HDMI's successor or indeed if I move the TV and want more/less cable

I'm with Colm on this. Caulk all the way. Easily removed at a later stage if you wish to add further cables. In addition, get some adhesive-backed cable trunking from any electrical suppliers to conceal the cable for a neat finish. This can also be painted to match the wall colour of choice.

Nope no caulk, I guess you can assume I know what I want and wasn't looking for alternates. :)

So what's the name of the plastic cover that's used for coax cables coming out of walls? Going to try ordering today.

Ah I think I found it.. Called a grommet

Now to find one large enough for HDMI... This might work
