Vinyl floor tiles "peel-and-stick"

Preparing to select floor-covering for an awkwardly-shaped concrete utility room floor and an L-shaped hallway (also level concrete). Tiles and carpet are out for a number of reasons. On account of the odd shapes a larger quantity of sheet vinyl would be required and raise the cost. I have seen 12" x 12" "peel-and-stick" tiles which look good, appear sturdy and are at a reduced price at present. Are vinyl floor tiles easy to fit (a DIY job without additional mastic, etc) and fairly durable? Neither area will have heavy foot-traffic. The floor surfaces are perfectly level. What are the potential pitfalls?
