Legal precedents can be got online and I have no doubt that certain precedent wills can be got online as well.

Wills which have been submitted to Probate can be taken up as well but they are not available online.

Well, yes. You can get them in the archives of the Sunday papers.

But note that not all wills admitted to probate are listed in the papers. In fact, most aren't. So while the papers might reliably inform you that so-and-so's will was admitted to probate, they're pretty useless confirming that no will for so-and-so has been admitted to probate.

You can seek a copy of a will admitted to probate.
There is a relatively small fee.
You apply to the Probate Office.

Would it not be cheaper to just buy the paper.

I wouldn't want to suggest just looking in the paper every Sunday in the shop. The list is usually in the same location in the paper.

You would probably need to take out a subscription to that newspaper in order to search for and view old articles like the one that outlines the value of estates that went to probate recently.

At the risk of backseat modding, this isn't really a legal issue. You are looking to access old articles on a newspaper website.
