gay and wanting to play GAA

    Hey everyone!

I'm just looking for a bit of advice. I love hurling and played a bit until I was 16. When I say a bit I mean I used to train for a few weeks then give up but I'd still puck around a bit at home. I was and still am very conscious of being gay and I can be quite effeminate at times. unfortunately it's just part of who I am.

I know in the world of sport the GAA is a lot more inclusive with Donal og and stuff but you wouldn't know he was gay if you looked at him or heard him speak. You would with me.

I'm moving to Dublin in a few weeks and was just wondering do you think a club would let me train and play?( obviously junior b or c) or would they just think I'm there for to perv on the lads.

    I'm not a troll, it's a genuine question.

No, no one who wanted to perv on lads would join a junior b or c hurling team, you would want at least Junior A.

This is true but I'm sure my natural ability means I'll fly up the ranks in no time, maybe even intermediate! I know it probably seems like a stupid thing to be worrying about but I get paranoid about ****e like that .

If your serious, be aware that junior b and c is actually quite a decent level in Dublin. The championship goes all the way down to F.

If you want to play go and play.

If your playing junior just burst the first fella in training and you'll fit right in ;)
