Cheers op. For some reason it kept opening to the UK site when using my data ( Tesco Mobile) but worked fine on WiFi.

Me too. I generally go a size bigger, especially if something is "slim fit". Hollister and A&F sizes can be all over the place though based on previous experience.

I normally take L ... in Hollister Slim Fit that would probably equate to XXXXXXXXXXXXXXL

Thanks OP, also 10% off your order if you sign up for their news letter.

Note it costs €9 to post returns back to them.

I was about to pull the trigger, but I see that you need to pay for return postage.
    Just something to watch.

    I'll pass on this one.

    thanks OP, bought

I would be a L , went with XL , and am happy with the sizing , it is probably still a bit bigger than a standard L , but not huge.
Always a bit of risk involved when you see slim fit on online clothes , or a brand that you are not familiar with their sizing ! , esp when there is a cost involved in returning like here or Amazon.

Bought for €10.53 with the newsletter discount ... cheers OP. Fortunately I love red.

plus I got hypnotized staring at that girl running in the grey pants on the homepage... a nice bargain all round ;)

Normally a medium and all my Hollister long-tee's as medium fit fine..

.. so went with a medium here too.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 31,152 ✭✭✭✭KERSPLAT!

I've a few tees that are large so went with large again, didn't actually notice the slim fit  ah be grand. Got two T-shirts for €15 each too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,084 ✭✭✭✭mrcheez

I decided to follow the advice on this chart for A&F:

    https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--_oUQq0ib--/c_scale,fl_progressive,q_80,w_800/1025933043708392550.jpg

so sized up. I'm normally large, but sure if the XL is too big I guess I can just shrink it.

If you buying muscle fit, increase your usual size. But otherwise their sizing is spot on. Same with A & F

I think I found it on the homepage as a popup. Took me a while to find it too, but in the spirit of Bargain Alerts I persevered. It was worth the €1 saving ;)

I've no need for a red v-neck Hollister top but for under €11 it's no harm having in the wardrobe. Cheers OP.

Yes, it is a pop-up on the front page when you first visit.

I ended up buying a few others items from the sale, lots of good bargains there. So got another €6 off!

A jumper, two shirts and two t-shirts for €60 is excellent value. Normally pay that for the jumper alone!

Its gone up to €18.99 :(

Thanks OP, ordered one the other day. Notice price has now jumped up to €18.99 so cheaper price was an error! Good spot OP

Thanks OP - it arrived today.

Am around the edges of medium/large in most stuff. Ordered the large its fine, it anything a little big, but prob wont return (not sure if I got free returns) medium would prob have been a little tight. First time with this brand so just following the earlier posts the sizing seems fairly standard with other brands.

mine arrived yesterday, I got a pair of jeans as well. Went with large, it fits grand. The material of the top is very light, but for €11 can't complain !!

I missed this deal last week but I bought this crew neck cotton jumper from M&S yesterday. €7.

    http://m.marksandspencer.ie/mt/www.marksandspencer.ie/Pure-Cotton-Crew-Neck-Jumper/P22292112,en_IE,pd.html?dwvar_P22292112_color=Y5&start=

I didn't like the colours on the reduced V-necks. I think there are are a few more for €12. Stock isn't great though.

Thanks op. I took a gamble and ordered a medium and thankfully it fit great.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,095 ✭✭✭✭omb0wyn5ehpij9

Mine arrived yesterday. It's slightly too big (but nothing to worry about), I expected it to be smaller seeing as it was a slim fit

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,737 ✭✭✭Hococop

Same usually m bought L, should have got a medium

I did say to people earlier in thread that sizing is accurate... they've definitely changed sizes to be more realistic in recent years.

Opposite to TeeFury who used to size a bit small too, so ordered a large off them and got it earlier in the week - looks like a bloody tent! Hoping a hot wash might sort it.

I did the same, got an XL instead of an L and it's too big
Returns are free, however you'll be charged the difference in price as far as I can see, and it's increased to 18 now..

IN 2 minds about exchanging or just selling it on, it's a nice jumper in fairness :)

Lesson learned kids always read the small print:

"Sweater is slim fit (on Americans)"

Yeah mine is slightly bigger than I'd like(but only very slightly) but it's fine. Got an XL on the basis of the slim fit but normally L.

Spray it with a water bottle and put it in the dryer... voila size L ;)

If anyone is interested I inquired about the free return delivery and it is covered for these orders, so you get back the full payment and don't lose €9.

Might return mine as it does seem a little more flimsy than I initially thought.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,512 ✭✭✭OffalyMedic

Got one for me OH. He's normally a medium, sometimes large so giving it was slim fit I went with large and it's a nice fit and more important he likes it! !

Additionally they said you can exchange the sweater for a different size for free as well, just include SKU number of the sweater you want.

If not in stock you get the refund, but again no €9 deduction either way.

Just sent mine back today looking for a smaller size - Didn't see that bit about the SKU though - The Girl I chatted to said just write a note and it will be fine...
