Patriotism aside, is there any reason it would be a bad idea to use a UK accountancy firm for the annual accounts of an Irish LTD company?

I would be inclined to get an Irish accountancy firm to prepare your company accounts. We have specific legislation Companies Act 2014 to following in Ireland which I wouldn't think an English based accountancy firm have much experience in.

In addition the English based firm would not have a tax knowledge of the Irish tax system.
