    183k on travel for the FIDE president?!? At least it's down from 211k in 2013....

    Does he think he is the CEO of Enron or something?

    Those accounts are to the end of 2015 of course - so assuming the same rate of losses, FIDE would be down another E600k by now, and so technically already gone backrupt by now.

    The budget is very strange, with loads of 2014 items simply not budgeted in 2015, but they arose anyway. Fairly basic stuff there.

    As long as FIDE continues to award coaching certificates at one hundred euro a pop to people who subsequently - in tournaments - castle through check and need to have the en passant rule explained to them it will have an income stream.

    Perhaps if FIDE does go bankrupt it will help chess enormously, all the scallywags up to their armpits in the FIDE moneypit will hopefully clear off and newer more responsible people can get FIDE back on track.
