Removing Attic Insulation

We just moved into a new house and found the prevoius owner had rats in the attic. The rats now seem to be gone but the insulation is covered in rat droppings and is badly stained and stinks of pee.
So it looks like I will have to get this removed, does anyone know of any companies that do this? Any of the insulation companies I have checked don't seem to offer an insulation removal service.
Also if I do this myself are there any restrictions on waste disposal? Can it go to landfill.
I am not sure what the material is but is pink and was fitted about 16 years ago.
    Any advice would be great,
    Thanks

if doing yourself get proper outer suit and gloves also breathing apparatus as it's most likely fibre glass type insulation and gets everywhere also protective glasses.

Get one of those skip bags and fill.

As above, I use a garden sprayer with a very fine mist setting with a touch of disinfectant to both keep down the dust and helps with smell.
Better if you have two, one driving the sprayer and the other bagging the stuff.

Its not a case of wetting through and through, just a mist: it also helps with compressing the stuff into black bags in the attic for moving to skip/skip bag.
Get one of those rubbish pick up thingies for pulling it out of eaves
