Bought PS4 yesturday from gamestop bundle, never before was ps. I have xbox ones, so i went home started to updait console and make settings after few min 5-10, its shows me hdmi signal lost. Again tried turn off and on, same after few min black screen. Taked back to gamestop and tell what the problem they connect to self tv and works give back same pa4 for me. So i tried all night to connect it nothing, turned tv off ps4 off then turned on it works for 5min again and black screen. So tried 4 tv same and monitor, tried 4 hdmi nothing. Then connected my xbox to tv 5sec and its works perfectly for hours, i dont know what to do, change for new one or get refund. Good first see on PS4..

Could have a bogey PS4 by the sounds of it, I have a Samsung smart TV and my one works fine, no strange settings or anything needed to put into PS4...

Did Gamestop leave it in their TV for 5-10 minutes? If you tried with different tvs and also different hdmi cables it must be the ps4 that is the problem.

No they just connected and told me it works, and disconnected right away.

Try checking is it something to do with the anynet settings on the actual TV, and then check the PS4 settings and see is HDMI Cec enabled or disabled?

You can go into display options also and see is there anything you may have missed...

(If you can get in that long!)

They should have left it in for 10 minutes at least to see if the signal is lost again. It might be best to go in and explain that again. It sounds like a nightmare alright. All you wanted to do was get home with your new ps4 and chill with a few games. It's a pain.

Take a video on your phone so they can see it...
Clearly a faulty unit, and all you are asking for is a straight swap not your money back ...

So i was in gamestop and they check it, it was faulty ps4 with Hdmi port. So i refund money back . Disapointed on PS4 first buy

Why did you not just get another unit? Sony sell millions of these things without fault, you were just incredibly unlucky. GameStop were a bit arsey when you first went back though but that's to be expected, they are GameStop after all.
