What's the best product for stripping wax and sealant?

Would a concentrated dilution of an APC be strong enough?

Is Fairy Liquid just an old wives tale?

Fairy will do squat for removing sealant. Apparently its fairly tough to remove, you can apply a new coat over the old one unless you plan on polishing the car.

Doing the whole decontamination and machine polish should have it stripped? If you are happy with the finish just layer it on top?

Carpro eraser, auto brite wax off, iso alcohol stuff you can get from pharmacy.

APC, fairy can remove it but you would need Fair few passes depending on mix.

Keen to see if others use Iso Propyl alchohol?

I used it on my bicycle frame and it completely stained and bleached the paint. Also used it on some rubber and turned it a chalky white. after that i'm very reluctant to use iso on my car other than on the windows.
