Best thing to keep this place active is to make sure we have a daily thread for fancies.

Went close with Claire's Secret beaten a head in a maiden at Leicester yesterday and I'll another couple of goes in similar races today.

First of all at Ffos Las in the 2.10 Arzaak sets the standard as Our Boy seems to be regressing run to run but he really should have won a weak maiden the last day if he showed any improvement from debut and that's a concern. Casamento his sire and Besharah his half sister were precocious types and he may not be improving as expected. Hughes' 2 year olds have disappointed while the Hannon and Muir horses should be better for the run so I think Mezyan is the bet e/w at 20s. She should improve for the step up in trip and also looked in need of the experience the last day.

Ive actually gone for PIRES in that 5.45 race. Not getting any younger but Tony Martin has won this race the past 2 years and had the first and 2nd last year. PIRES won it in 2014 and was 2nd last year off marks of 123 and 120. Down to 116 today and jockey takes a further 5lbs off so at 11/1 he appeals as a good ew bet

Something a little different. €1 Placepot for me at Downroyal this evening!
    R1. 4,6
    R2. 3,5
    R3. 4
    R4. 1,5
    R5. 5
    R6. 5,11,14

Also a few bets here :
5.45 : Mai Fitzs Jack win, head 2nd to Heartbreak City looks decent form now.
6.15 : Balinaboola small EW. In my tracker with a while but not one to have too much faith in so keeping bet small.
7.15 : Topper Thornton EW, good course form. 2nd in this race last year.
7.50 : Angelica Yeats win. JJ Codd on board is good enough for me

Plenty of money for Topper Thornton in the 7.15 (14s into 7s), agree that he loves the track and almost won same race last year off same OR he runs off today

Be interested to see how Rogue Agent gets on for Robbie Mc 2nd time out this evening in the 6.45. Went off fav in a maiden hurdle during Galway races, came 5th but wasn't pushed hard when race was gone. Ruby back on board,

He is clearly well thought of at home, this is what he said about him in a stable tour for ATR

    ROGUE AGENT
    5 b g Montjeu Rolly Polly
Rated 87, he won twice for Andre Fabre in France as well as finishing fourth in Listed company at Saint-Cloud. He was purchased by his current connections for 30,000 in May.

He s a talented horse and wasn t beaten far in a Listed race for Andre Fabre. He came to me with a bit of a reputation for being temperamental and he was a bit buzzy when he first arrived, but we ve done a lot of steady work and schooling with him and he s settled down nicely.
He s an ideal summer horse as while he should handle an ease, I don t think he d be one for heavy ground at Navan during the winter. We thought about starting him off in the Topaz Mile at the Galway Festival, but we don t want to risk undoing the settling work we ve done with him, so he ll run in the maiden hurdle on the Saturday of Galway instead.
I ll be disappointed if he s beaten and it wouldn t surprise me if he makes up into a horse for the spring festivals next year.
He is 2's at moment so short enough, be interested to see how he gets on, if he any good should be up to winning this race tonight. I hope Robbie does well as a trainer.

Bent as a bent penny this game. 17 runners in a handicap. Paying 4 places.....wait a minute, lets lose that 4th place payout. :2 out before the off.
