Rotary Pocket watch unable to open

Hello all.


I have a 2014 silver Rotary pocket watch that stopped working, I can change the time, but the wind up is such at 35 and so, when I try to wind the watch up, nothing happens.

I was looking to try see inside the watch, but cant open it. Ive watched many videos on youtube with various pocket watches, but still unable to figure it out.

Would anyone here be of any assistance if I uploaded some pics later on?

take it to a good jewellers and let them do their magic on it

Yesterday I opened a very stubborn, rusty, corners rounded off nut and bolt on my plough with a chisel and hammer, but you didn't really want to know that.

Try running a sharp knife around the caseback, have a look with a magnifying glass for a small groove first.

No offence OP, but if you cannot figure out how to open the watch you have very little chance of fixing the problem.
Bring it to a watch fixer and save yourself a lot of hassle!

Thanks for most of the replies, they were helpful. Will be bringing it to a Jewelers on Friday. I have looked at and tried various methods of opening it. I will let you know what I find out.
