I note from watching GAA games on RTE they often give the option of Irish language commentary but you never get that facility from TG4 as I'm sure a greater number of viewers would prefer the English version.

It's an Irish language station in fairness :/

RTE don't often give the Irish option.
They used to do the all Ireland minor final in Irish but tv3 have had that the past few years.

Michael Lyster defo gave an Irish option prior to Mayo/Tipp

Why would there be an English option on an Irish language station. The point of TG4 is to promote the Irish language. Moronic.

Is there an option to mute Martin Carney, Tom Carr etc?

I'd pay any subscription fee for that.

Well why does the Welsh station S4C have an English option then moron??

What has that got to do with TG4?

If S4C wish to dilute their raison d'etre then so be it, but TG4's entire purpose is to serve as an Irish language platform and to give the option of English language with make no sense.

Explain to me why it should have an English language commentary option?
