Looks like a finish for the sprinters or maybe the breakaway. Bit twisty in the last 3km with a right hander around 500m out from the finish. Coudl be interesting if theres a few trains on the go at that stage and maybe a spill or 2.
Flat stage from Viveiro to Lugo. 171.3 kilometres of leg-breaking terrain that includes a circuit around the Lugo capital that will prove favourable for sprinters to show their skills, though they will have to face Marco de Álvare mid-route, an 11.8km mountain pass with an inclination of 3.6% that will spice up the day.

So I am going for Gilbert for a late attack

I just know Carlton Kirby willbe insufferable about Attapuma today ...yesterday you would swear there was no one in the break but Attapuma...in the race for that matter

And nothing would do but for him to say BMC leader is Attapuma and Sammy Sanchez was riding for Attapuma ...even though the team said the opposite

Even Sean Kelly you can hear thinks he is over the top

Attapuma is a fine climber but his TT is non eistent and while he got top 10 at Giro he got it from time in a breakaway as he did yesterday ...He is not as great a GC contender as SAMU even if SAMU is getting on. Of course the team will support both now but SAMU is their main man...But try telling that to CK

Another break to win... The peloton have no interesting in chasing at any of the GT's this year it seems.

Why would they chase? The top GC guys are a lot closer nowadays so no one will take up a counter attack if its not necessary.

I find that it kind of devalues stage wins in the mountains because the breakaway guys are just allowed to take the stage by the GC guys.

    Horrible for him.

My initial thoughts were that when the crews went around in advance of the race there were cars parked all along there, and therefore either didn't see the bollard or think it was an issue. Come race time the cars were gone and the bollard became an obstacle.
