Suing parents of unvaccinated child for spreading infectious disease

Would really appreciate the help/advice of any solicitors here. My in-laws who for personal reasons did not vaccinate their kids, are now being threatened by another parent who claims my eight year old nephew has passed a recent dose of measles onto her child.
The threat is verbal at the moment, but as vaccinating your kids is not (afaik) a legal requirement in this country, would my in-laws have a case to answer if this parent decided to pursue a case? And what kind of case could she realistically pursue?
    Thanks in advance

Unfortunately you can't sue sense into people...

Was it the Internet or the yoga teachers that filled your in-laws heads with nonsense?

Did the parents of the kid who then got the measles not have their kid vaccinated? Or did their vaccine not work?

There would be a hell of a lot of suing going on once chickenpox season kicked in

No case to answer. No legal requirement to vaccinate, I looked into this when my eldest was born.

I'm not sure of the exact circumstances of the other family but it seems they were vaccinated and it didn't work if they are threatening to sue. Although I don't agree with my in-laws decision, I know it's not one they took lightly. But am not debating that decision here, but wondering if there would be a case to answer when vaccinations are not compulsory here. Thanks again

Well if the vaccine didn't work, perhaps they should investigate suing the creators of the ineffective vaccine?...

Sounds a bit far fetched overall but I'm going to close this thread because it relates to question of liability in relation to matter which is not purely hypothetical.
