Quick question for anyone who knows anything about fishing vessel licensing; someone that I know wants to buy a fishing boat with a northern ireland fishing licence.

Is there an agreement that northern trawlers can fish in southern waters and southern trawlers can fish up north?

Good question.. thinking from a Brexit point of view, will this cause difficulties for northern fishers in republic waters?

Irish boats probably give more time in UK waters than the other way around, alot of the fishing done south of Waterford is in UK waters.Either way i presume there would be extensive negotiations on the whole thing as for French (who would probably burn every lorry coming from UK )Dutch, spanish etc it would create chaos if they lost access to UK waters, i use the word would as i still think there will be a backdown of brexit
