Feel like I am in a Rut.

I would have rather done this as a guest but doesn't seem to allow that on the phone.

Anyway I'm 26. I have been on disability since I have been 16 for a life long illness I was born with.

I do have a few good friends and a boyfriend.

I suffer from anxiety and depression and I just cannot seem to get motivated to do anything.

I have a level 6 so when I go to intero to do a course they won't touch me.

I just feel like all I do is wake up eat sleep and repeat.

I guess my reason for this post is mainly a rant but also looking for advice on how to get motivated and to get out of this Rut I'm in.

    Thanks for reading.

Could you do voluntary work? It's a great way to interact with others and also as a means to get a job, if that's your aim.

I would echo this big time. Also exercise - though I'm not sure what your disability is, but some form should be at least possible. Also, Google to free online courses in Google Analytics, not sure if you are into digital/online marketing but I have heard unlike a lot of free online courses they are supposed to be excellent. Not saying you would have to make a career out of it but just to learn something new and get you doing something every day that you have to focus on. And remember, there are lots of others out there who feel like you so you are not alone.

OP is it possible for you to go to university to do a full time course? If you have never previously done a level 7/8 degree you will qualify for free fees. You can also apply for back to education allowance and SUSI grant to cover the student contribution.

With a level 6 and some determination theres every chance you can do this.

Why don't you try the national learning network there is one in phibsboro and blanch they do full time courses for people with disabilities and people who have being out of work a long time you can stay there for up to four years and get a training allowance with your social welfare

Can you pursue a third level degree? you'll get your fees paid and you'll keep your benefits, nows the time to do it if youre interested, theres serious talk about introducing fees in the next few years.

Can you join a local class? maybe in art or yoga? or a book club? it might just broaden your interests and hobbies
